💨 Abstract
In Amritsar, Punjab, the police arrested 10 people, including a kingpin, after spurious liquor contaminated with methanol led to the deaths of 21 people and hospitalized 31. The Punjab CM visited the affected village, promising justice and support to the victims' families. The police suspended two officials for negligence and are investigating the entire supply chain. Key suspects, including the main supplier Sahib Singh, have been identified, and more methanol consignments were seized.
