💨 Abstract
The Mumbai civic body invited bids for bio-remediation of legacy waste at the Deonar dumping ground, with a contract valued at over Rs 2,368 crore. The project aims to treat 185 lakh tonnes of waste, reclaim 110 hectares of land, and spans three years. Opposition parties criticized the move, alleging favoritism towards the Adani Group and questioning the relocation of Dharavi residents to the dumping ground.
