💨 Abstract
On May 14, tension erupted in Malappattam, Kannur (Kerala), as CPI(M) and Youth Congress workers clashed during a Youth Congress march led by Rahul Mankootathil. The march protested the alleged vandalism of a Mahatma Gandhi statue. Both sides exchanged stones and bottles. Congress accused CPI(M) of initiating the violence, with no public response from CPI(M).
