💨 Abstract
The lone African elephant at Delhi zoo, Shankar, was released from chains on Friday following a review of his health and habitat conditions. The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums suspended the Delhi zoo's membership due to Shankar's living conditions. The release was part of an initiative by Union Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh, who shared a video of Shankar walking freely.
