💨 Abstract
In Chhattisgarh's Surguja district, a contractual doctor was removed, and a health official was suspended after allegations of demanding bribes for conducting post-mortems on two drowned children. Five-year-old cousins, Suraj and Jugnu Giri, drowned in a pond on May 18. The doctor allegedly asked for Rs 10,000 each for the post-mortems, which were eventually conducted under public pressure.
