💨 Abstract
Amit Gautam, a transgender Dalit woman, started a library in her village in eastern Uttar Pradesh, transforming it into a resistance symbol against caste oppression and a safe space for marginalized individuals. Her library, the Savitribai Phule Village Library and Resources Centre, houses 2,500 books, including Dalit literature and inspirational works. Despite initial challenges, the library has become a beacon of empowerment and learning.
