💨 Abstract
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis mourned the passing of renowned ecologist Madhav Gadgil, who died at 83. Gadgil, known for his work on the Western Ghats, was hailed as a lifelong advocate for ecological balance. Throughout his six-decade career, Gadgil held prestigious positions but remained dedicated to environmental conservation and public awareness. He received the UNEP ‘Champion of the Earth’ award in 2024.
