💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court of India has mandated that fresh law graduates must have at least three years of practice to appear for entry-level judicial services examinations. Additionally, the court increased the quota for promotions through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) from 10% to 25%. The bench, led by Chief Justice B R Gavai, emphasized the importance of courtroom exposure for prospective judges and noted that recruiting fresh graduates without practice had led to behavioral and temperamental issues.
