💨 Abstract
A Noida-based businessman complained that he was extorted for a bribe by a GST official. Pramod Tiwari, who asserted timely payment of taxes, received threats and demands for an outstanding amount. GST official Satendra Bahadur Singh requested a 50,000 INR bribe, reduced to 45,000 INR, triggering an arrest by Meerut Vigilance Team on Monday. A case is registered, and investigations are ongoing.
