💨 Abstract

Two prisoners, Pankaj (serving life imprisonment) and Ramkumar Chauhan (undertrial in a kidnapping and ransom case), escaped from Haridwar district jail on Friday night. They had planned the escape about a week before a Ramlila event in jail, taking advantage of the preoccupied prison staff. A third inmate, Chhotu, failed to escape when his ladder fell.
