💨 Abstract
Assam Police Director General (in-charge) Harmeet Singh has been officially appointed as the full-time DGP of Assam effective immediately. The 1992-batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IPS officer has been serving as in-charge DGP since February 1, following the previous DGP's transfer to the CRPF. Singh also holds additional roles as the director general of Civil Defence and commandant general of Home Guards.
