Delhi will provide nearly 4,000 manual scavengers with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits before the monsoon. The initiative, under the 'Namaste' scheme, aims to improve working conditions and provide social security benefits. Delhi's Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh directed officials to enroll scavengers in the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme and expedite training and rehabilitation efforts.
