💨 Abstract
India has expelled six Canadian diplomats and withdrawn its own envoy from Canada in response to Ottawa designating them as "persons of interest" in an investigation. The tension between the two countries dates back to 2023, when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged links between Indian agents and the assassination of a Sikh separatist leader on Canadian soil. India has repeatedly denied these accusations and accused Trudeau of pursuing a political agenda.
