💨 Abstract
On May 14, Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai was sworn in as the 52nd Chief Justice of India by President Droupadi Murmu. He succeeded Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who retired on May 13 upon reaching 65 years of age. Justice Gavai, who joined the Supreme Court in 2019, will serve until November 23. He took his oath in Hindi.
