💨 Abstract
The Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa condemned the absence of top officials to receive Chief Justice of India B R Gavai at the Mumbai airport during his first visit after taking oath. The council passed a resolution seeking action against the errant officials for the protocol lapse. CJI Gavai had expressed displeasure over the incident, although he later downplayed its significance. Meanwhile, state officials apologized and acknowledged the lapse.
