💨 Abstract
Metro services on the Esplanade to Howrah Maidan stretch of Green Line 2 in Kolkata will be suspended on January 12 and 19 for an interlocking test for the communication-based train control (CBTC). The test is necessary to start services in the entire 16.6 km corridor from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V. The entire East-West Corridor is expected to commence operations in a few months.
