💨 Abstract
The Ministry of Home Affairs has permitted NGOs with expired FCRA registrations to pay compounding penalties and fees from their FCRA bank accounts via the FCRA online portal. This is a new provision under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, aiming to facilitate compliance. However, NGOs must not use these accounts for any other transactions, as it would violate FCRA regulations and invite penal actions.
