💨 Abstract
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman of the Hurriyat Conference, has called on the Jammu and Kashmir government to protect youth allegedly being harassed by security agencies, even after completing jail terms for past illegal activities. He claims repeated arrests and harassment deepen mistrust and anger among the people. Farooq urged the government, led by Omar Abdullah, and elected representatives to uphold the basic rights of the people and stop the punitive approach.
