💨 Abstract
The Indian Navy will induct a traditionally-built stitched ship, replicating a 5th-century vessel, at the Karwar naval base on May 21. The ship, inspired by a painting from the Ajanta Caves, was constructed using traditional methods by Kerala artisans. The ceremony, chaired by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, marks the beginning of the ship's planned voyages along ancient maritime trade routes, starting from Gujarat to Oman.
