💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court of India, while discussing the felling of trees next to the University of Hyderabad, accused the Telangana government of pre-planning the activity. The court, hearing this case on May 15, called for the state to restore the deforested land or risk imprisonment for officials involved. The state was questioned about why trees were felled during a long weekend when courts were closed.
