💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court of India will hear challenges to the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025 on May 14, 2025. Chief Justice B R Gavai and Justice Augustine George Masih will preside, replacing former CJI Sanjiv Khanna who concluded his tenure. The court had previously recorded the Centre's assurance not to denotify waqf properties or make related appointments by May 5, 2025.
