đź’¨ Abstract
Schools in five Punjab districts bordering Pakistan reopened on May 14, six days after they were closed due to a military standoff between India and Pakistan. The state government had ordered the closure of academic institutions on May 8. While most districts reopened on May 13, the border districts of Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Pathankot, Fazilka, and Ferozepur reopened on May 14.
