On May 20, ten central trade unions in Bhubaneswar protesting raised concerns over labour codes, minimum wages, inflation, and unemployment. They blamed the Center for an increase in essential commodity prices and demanded a guaranteed selling price for farmers. Leaders also criticized implementation of labour codes, extended working hours, and restrictions on worker union rights, presenting their demands to the Governor.
