💨 Abstract
The 16th UN biodiversity conference in Cali, Colombia concluded without an agreement on increasing funding for biodiversity protection. The conference did yield an agreement to establish a subsidiary body to include indigenous peoples in future biodiversity conservation discussions and decisions. Countries also agreed to create a new global fund to share benefits of digitally-sequenced genetic data with communities.
