💨 Abstract
The Delhi High Court has dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) addressing the shortage of judges, acknowledging that the judiciary is already addressing the issue. The court, aware that the Supreme Court is monitoring this matter, allowed the petitioner, lawyer Amit Sahni, to pursue his case in the Supreme Court. Sahni highlighted that the Delhi High Court, designed to operate with 60 judges, currently has only 36, due to retirements and delays in appointments.
