At 23, Violette Dorange is poised to break the record as the youngest competitor in the Vendee Globe, a solo round-the-world yacht race, starting this weekend. A passionate sailor since her childhood, Dorange's journey began with crossing the English Channel in a small dinghy at 15. She met Jean Le Cam, a seasoned sailor, who sold her his boat for the race.
