💨 Abstract
German coach Thomas Tuchel has been appointed head of the England national team, making him the third non-English manager to hold the role. He will start on January 1 alongside English assistant Anthony Barry. Tuchel, who was named FIFA and UEFA coach of the year in 2021, has previously managed Chelsea and Bayern Munich. The FA made the decision to appoint Tuchel and Barry after several candidates were interviewed for the job.
