💨 Abstract
Three browser companies and a group of web developers have written to the European Commission, urging it to subject Microsoft's Edge browser to tough EU tech rules. They claim that Edge has an unfair advantage and is set as the default browser on all Windows computers, making it difficult for independent browsers to compete. The move follows Norwegian browser company Opera's legal challenge against the Commission for exempting Edge from the Digital Markets Act. The Commission and Microsoft declined to comment.
