In 2025, Pakistan experienced its deadliest year in over a decade, with a 74% increase in combat-related deaths compared to the previous year. The Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies reported 3,413 conflict-related deaths, including 667 security personnel and 580 civilians. Militant deaths surged by 124% due to intensified counterterrorism operations.
