đź’¨ Abstract
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will meet with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to discuss defence cooperation and global trade, marking his first international visit since re-election. Albanese underscored the importance of Indonesia, predicting it will soon become the world's fifth-largest economy. While progress has been made in defence and maritime cooperation, several geopolitical differences persist. Albanese aims to bolster economic ties with Southeast Asia to diversify export markets and reduce reliance on China, amidst ongoing trade uncertainty.
