The White House reported a 17% drop in homicides over the past year, attributed to enhanced background checks on gun sales to those under 21 and those with misdemeanor domestic violence records. The FBI conducted over 300,000 enhanced background checks, denying over 3,500 transactions for the under-21 age group and blocking nearly 900 sales.
