Bangladesh started an extended official holiday as the Durga Puja, a Hindu festival, began with tight security across the country. The Hindu community is celebrating the festival amid festivity, with no reported incidents so far. The interim government warned against disrupting communal harmony or targeting places of worship during the festival.
