Kiribati, a Pacific Ocean nation, criticized China over its recent intercontinental ballistic missile launch, stating that the Pacific is not isolated and the test was not welcomed. Kiribati did not receive notice from China about the launch. The Pacific Islands Forum, a group of 18 countries, has a vast maritime zone they refer to as the Blue Pacific Continent and has been a nuclear-free zone for decades.
