💨 Abstract

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pursued an aggressive foreign policy to counter political Islam, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood, across the Middle East and Africa. The UAE has used military interventions, alliances, and financial support to achieve this. Key involvements include backing the Southern Transitional Council in Yemen, supporting Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and providing military aid to Sudan's Rapid Support Forces.
