G7 finance ministers will meet in Washington on January 12 to address rare earths supplies and discuss potential price floors. Most G7 countries, except Japan, depend heavily on China for these critical materials. In June 2023, the G7 agreed on an action plan to secure supply chains and bolster their economies.
