💨 Abstract
Independent presidential candidate Venancio Mondlane claims to lead Mozambique's presidential election and threatens a nationwide strike if the ruling party Frelimo claims victory. Mondlane, popular among the discontented youth, says the risks of violence are high if Frelimo's candidate Daniel Chapo is declared winner. He plans to mobilize his population, instigate an economic shutdown, and challenge any Frelimo win through courts and peaceful demonstrations.
