A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Tibet, killing at least 95 people and injuring dozens. The epicenter was Shigatse, one of the holiest cities in Tibet. India expressed condolences for the loss of lives and property. The earthquake was felt in parts of northern India, Nepal, and Bhutan. The National Centre of Seismology in India reported an aftershock of 4.3 on the Richter scale.
