💨 Abstract
A New Zealand court found an Indian-origin couple, Amandeep and Neha Sharma, guilty of defrauding the government agency Oranga Tamariki. Over 103 payments totaling nearly USD 2.15 million were made to Amandeep's company, Divine Connection, by falsely assigning maintenance and upkeep jobs. Neha, who was hired with forged references, quitted the job after initial suspicions.
