Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is considering a visit to the U.S. to meet the president-elect before the inauguration in January 2023. If successful, it would be his first visit to the U.S. since he took office as prime minister. Ishiba is also expected to attend the APEC summit in Peru and the G20 summit in Brazil in November. The visit would come amid the U.S.
