💨 Abstract
Japan's incoming Prime Minister, Shigeru Ishiba, plans to name former Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya as Foreign Minister and retain Yoshimasa Hayashi as Chief Cabinet Secretary. Ishiba is considering former Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga for the vice president role of the Liberal Democratic Party. He may form his government this week and plans a monetarily accommodative policy to aid economic recovery. A snap election is also a possibility.
