💨 Abstract
Lyle and Erik Menendez, who have served 35 years in prison for the 1989 murders of their parents, were ruled eligible for parole by a Los Angeles judge. The brothers, now 57 and 54, were resentenced to 50 years to life, making them immediately eligible for parole under California law. The decision followed a day-long hearing where supporters testified on their behalf.
