Norway has increased its terrorism threat level to the second-highest due to an increased risk of attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets. The national police directorate stated that this decision was due to the ongoing escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Police officers, who are usually unarmed, will now carry guns nationwide. The increased threat level is primarily directed towards Jewish and Israeli targets.
