💨 Abstract
The Russian-installed governor of Ukraine's Kherson region accused Ukraine of killing at least 24 people in a drone strike on a hotel and cafe during New Year celebrations. Vladimir Saldo made the allegation on Telegram but provided no evidence. Russian state news agencies reported the deaths and injuries, citing the local emergencies ministry. Kherson is one of four regions Russia claimed in 2022, a move widely condemned. Ukraine has not yet commented on the allegations.
