A knife attack in a Shanghai supermarket on the eve of National Day holiday left three dead and 15 injured. The attacker, a 37-year-old man, was detained, having travelled to vent anger over a personal financial dispute. The incident is the latest in a series of public stabbing incidents in major Chinese cities, often linked to mental illness.
