đź’¨ Abstract
A federal judge in Boston, Brian Murphy, suggested the Trump administration might have violated a court order by deporting migrants to South Sudan without adequate safety assurances. The court had previously barred such deportations without due process. Nearly a dozen migrants, including individuals from Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Pakistan, and Mexico, were reportedly sent to South Sudan despite fierce conditions and the UN's warnings of potential civil war. Lawyers for the migrants insist deportations lack necessary checks for migrants' safety.
