💨 Abstract
A fire at the TEARS Animal Rescue shelter in Cape Town on Thursday morning threatened dozens of dogs. Quick action from staff, volunteers, and fire services ensured all animals were safely relocated. No animals were lost, but several shelters were destroyed. TEARS is appealing for donations to rebuild the enclosures and care for the animals affected by smoke inhalation and stress. The community's support has been crucial in this effort.
