💨 Abstract
In February 2026, South Africa's manufacturing production saw a 2.8% year-on-year decline, marking the fourth consecutive drop and the largest since April 2025. Seven out of ten sectors experienced declines, with notable decreases in wood products, furniture, motor vehicles, and food and beverages. However, sectors like glass products, electrical machinery, and petroleum products showed growth.
