💨 Abstract
Starting April 10, 2026, South African travelers to Europe will encounter a new Entry/Exit System (EES) that replaces passport stamps with a digital process. This system, mandatory for non-EU visitors, records entry and exit data electronically, aiming to enhance security and reduce fraud. While future trips may become faster, initial implementation could cause delays, with wait times potentially reaching two hours during peak periods.
