💨 Abstract

The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) aims to exceed R4 trillion in assets under management by March 2026, driven by a 37.7% gain in the domestic share market in 2025. The PIC, which manages savings for over 1.2 million government employees, has faced scandals, including the VBS Mutual Bank scandal and conflicts of interest exposed by the Mpati Commission.
