💨 Abstract
From September 1, 2025, stricter BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) quotas will be enforced in South Africa, requiring businesses with over 50 employees to meet racial, gender, and disability workforce targets by 2030. The Department of Employment and Labour is guiding employers through workshops, warning of penalties for non-compliance. These changes, part of the Employment Equity Amendment Act, face legal challenges from business groups.
